I've often found that if I don't make a grocery list when I go shopping, I tend to overspend and grab very unhealthy foods.
Organizing my meals according to food groups keep me accountable, and I'm less likely to wander aimlessly down the aisles since I have already written out what I'm going to buy.
The Plan is to make this list last for the next 2 weeks (until pay day), and to finish off all foods. Everything on the list is compatible enough that the ingredients can be easily distributed through out my day as I plan meals.
** Forgot to add tomatoes to the list for my salads :)
